On September 19, Mukhtar Tinikeev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the 7th Plenum of the Public Association “Kazakhstan Industrial Trade Union of Power Engineers”, which was held in Shymkent.
“The Kazakhstan energy sector is one of the leading sectors of the economy of Kazakhstan. Therefore, it is very important to ensure the well-being of energy workers, full protection of labor and social rights, ”Mukhtar Tinikeev noted in his speech.
As of January 1, 2018, Kazenergoprofsoyuz PA unites 37,664 trade union members working in 98 energy enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It has 17 member organizations (69 enterprises) and 21 branches (29 enterprises).
Orazbek Bekbas, Chairman of the Kazakhstan Sectoral Trade Union of Power Engineers Public Association, in his report summed up the work of the sectoral trade union and shared plans for the future. Particular attention was paid to the prevention and resolution of labor disputes, conducting public control over compliance with labor laws and increasing the role of primary trade union organizations in labor collectives.
