In Ankara, the Chairman of the FPRK, Yeraly Tugzhanov, held a number of bilateral meetings within the framework of the XXIII Congress of the Trade Union Confederation of the Republic of Turkey “Turk-Is”.
The interaction between the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Pan-European Regional Council of the International Confederation of Trade Unions (PERC ITC) was discussed by the Chairman of the FPRK Yeraly Tugzhanov and the President of the All-European Regional Council (PERC) ITC Irakli Petriashvili.
The parties paid special attention to joint actions on the development of international cooperation in the field of regulating social and labor relations and protecting the rights of workers.
The topic of international cooperation was also continued in the conversation between the Head of the FPRK and the Advisor to the Secretary General of the International Confederation of Trade Unions (ITUC) Yap Vinnen.
The parties discussed measures taken by the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan to implement the recommendations of the Committee of Experts of the International Labor Organizations regarding the Law on Trade Unions. As the Chairman of FPRK noted, the improvement of labor and social legislation in accordance with international standards in the field of labor is carried out through the development of a draft law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Labor Issues”. According to Yeraly Tugzhanov, the total number of amendments and additions is 163, of which 19 amendments are aimed at implementing the Conventions and recommendations of the International Labor Organization.
Also within the framework of the Congress, Yeraly Tugzhanov met with the Deputy Chairman of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan (CPA) Javanshir Alkhasov.
The Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan is a full membership organization of the ITUC. The memorandum of cooperation between FPRK and the CPA has been in force since 2015. During the meeting, issues of further deepening friendly as well as business relations and cooperation of trade unions of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan were discussed. The possibilities of holding joint events in order to exchange best practices and mutual learning in order to improve
the work of trade unions, as well as cooperation within international organizations, were examined. The Confederation of Trade Unions of Azerbaijan includes 27 branch and one territorial trade union associations. The number of members is 1,600,000. The chairman of the FPRK, Yeraly Tugzhanov, also talked with the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Kudratilla Rafikov. The Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan is an associate member of the ITUC. Further guidelines for joint work and prospects for signing the Agreement on the regional interaction of the trade unions of the Central Asian states (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan) were discussed. Currently, the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan includes 14 branch trade unions, the Karakalpak Republican, Tashkent City, 12 regional associations of trade union organizations, numbering more than 6.1 million people in their ranks.
Bilateral negotiations were also held with the leaders of the national trade union associations of Ukraine Grigory Osov and Belarus Anna Varfolomeeva.
