On July 10, the XV Forum of the Eurasian International Association of Education Trade Unions started its work in the spiritual capital of the Turkic world, Turkestan.
Delegations from Turkey, Romania, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Macedonia, Kosovo, Northern Cyprus take part in the international forum.
The work of the forum began with the plenary meeting of the International Eurasian Association of Education Trade Unions. The solemn meeting was opened by singing the anthem of UAESEB.
Participants of the International Forum were welcomed by Aigul Mukasheva – the chairman of Kazakhstan branch trade union of workers of education, science and higher education: “President of RK Kasym-Jomart Tokayev at the summit of the organisation of Turkic states in Uzbekistan especially noted that Kazakhstan is the land of fathers of the Turkic world, therefore our country attaches special importance to development of all-round interaction within the framework of the UAESEB. The history of organisations uniting Turkic countries shows that most of them, including TURKSOY, TurkPA and Turkic Academy, were established on the initiative of Kazakhstan. These organisations have become real conductors of cultural and spiritual rapprochement of our brotherly peoples, the President noted.”
“Kasym-Jomart Tokayev reminded that on the initiative of Kazakhstan a programme document “Perspectives of the Turkic World – 2040″ was developed. In order to implement it, the Strategy of the Organisation of Turkic States was adopted at the summit.
– Undoubtedly, this document will contribute to enhancing interaction and strengthening the belt of stability uniting our states. Therefore, there is every reason to assert that our co-operation will be successful. Actively participating in addressing issues on the regional and global agenda, we should become a powerful and authoritative force. The current geopolitical and geo-economic contradictions have a negative impact on the economy and transport and logistics system of the Eurasian continent. We must show solidarity to jointly confront all challenges and threats,” the President said.
– Holding the XV Forum of the International Eurasian Association of Education Trade Unions in the city of Turkestan, the spiritual capital of the Turkic world, is a step in support of the President’s initiative to strengthen relations between our countries,” Aigul Mukasheva said. She emphasised that the Eurasian International Association of Education Trade Unions promotes the exchange of experience and discussion of topical issues of education trade unions of fraternal Turkic countries. “Kazakhstan branch trade union of workers of education, science and higher education is interested in strengthening cooperation between trade unions of the member countries of the association”, – added A. Mukasheva.
The participants of the forum were congratulated by the deputy chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Uteshev. Having acquainted participants of a forum with work of Federation of trade unions of RK, he noted that Kazakhstan branch trade union of workers of education, science and higher education is the largest and active organisation in structure of federation of trade unions. He also noted that the branch organisation carries out great work on protection of labour rights and professional interests of trade union members, wished the forum participants fruitful work.
On topical issues of the trade union of education in the Eurasian space with a report was made by: Chairman of the Trade Union of Education of Turkey “Türk-Eğitim Sen” Talip Gaylan, Chairman of the Trade Union of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Asylbek Toktagulov, Chairman of the Trade Union of Education of Northern Cyprus of the Turkish Republic Akyn Manga, Secretary of the Trade Union of Education of Azerbaijan Zafer Mammadov, Chairman of the Trade Union of Education and Science of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mahmud Babayarov, Chairman of the Trade Union of Education of Northern Macedonia Enes Ibrahim, Chairman of the Trade Union of Education of Northern Macedonia Enes Ibrahim, the President of the Trade Union of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia Enes Ibrahim, the President of the Trade Union of Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Enes Ibrahim.
The forum participants noted that the issues of improving the social status of education trade unions, increasing their remuneration, protecting the legal and social interests of teachers, raising the status of teachers in society are of priority in the activities of education trade unions.
The issue of bringing to a new level of co-operation of the member countries of the Eurasian Association of Trade Unions of Education was also raised.
Following the results of the forum the resolution of the XV Forum of the International Eurasian Association of Trade Unions of Education will be adopted.
A large-scale cultural programme has been prepared for foreign guests within the framework of the forum. From today till 13 July the guests will visit the complex of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and other historical sights and memorable places of Turkestan and Kyzylorda,
Forum participants will also meet with representatives of local executive bodies of Turkestan region, get acquainted with the activities of the Kazakh-Turkish International University named after A. Yassawi and Korkyt Ata University.
