Participants of the XV forum of the Eurasian International Association of Trade Unions of Education visited the first capital of Kazakhstan – the city of Kyzylorda. The guests got acquainted with the memorial complex “Korkyt Ata”, historical and local history museum of the region.
Then the delegation visited Kyzylorda University named after Korkyt Ata. The meeting was attended by the Deputy Head of the Department of Education of Kyzylorda region A. Izimbetov and Chairman of the Territorial Trade Union Association of Kyzylorda region M. Nalibaev.
At the University the delegation was met by the Chairman of the Board – Rector Karimova Beibitkul Sarsemkhanovna. The head of the university told about the history and achievements of the university, noting the close ties with the trade union of the industry.
The Chairman of the Branch Trade Union introduced the delegation, thanking the university administration for mutual co-operation.
“The Eurasian International Association of Education Trade Unions of Turkic-speaking countries was established on the initiative of the Turkish Education Trade Union. For almost 20 years, the international association has been promoting the expansion of ties and strengthening friendship between the sectoral trade unions that are its members. From year to year, the membership of the union has been expanding. Today it includes education unions from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Romania, Macedonia, Kosovo and Northern Cyprus. Just yesterday the XV forum of the International Association was organised at a high level in Turkestan. The forum discussed topical issues of education, teachers, Sectoral Trade Union of Education in the Eurasian space”, – said Aigul Mukasheva.
In turn, Talip Gaylan, Chairman of the Turkish Education Trade Union “Türk-Eğitim Sen” thanked for the hospitality and shared the impressions of the forum participants: “Korkyt Ata is a legendary personality common to all Turkic peoples. He was a symbol of the Turkic world, its sacred code and moral pillar. Within the framework of the visit to the region, we are glad to get acquainted with the activities of the Korkyt Ata University,” he said.
The delegations were shown the educational building of the university. The guests learnt with interest about the activities of the university.
Within the framework of the forum, the participants discussed the issues of the education system in the countries participating in the forum, defined the tasks of trade unions of the sector on social and legal protection of education and science workers, outlined ways of further development of the Association, expanding the scope of its activities, implementing joint projects, international events and strengthening information exchange.
The XV Forum of the Eurasian International Association of Trade Unions of Education, which lasted 3 days, ended with the signing and adoption of the forum resolution.
A common opinion was expressed and a number of recommended decisions were adopted:
– In order to support education and training and exchange of experience in countries where the International Union of Eurasian Education Workers’ Unions is active, and especially in the independent Turkic Republics, to develop teacher and teacher exchange programmes and to include professional skills programmes;
– The importance of scientific research has increased dramatically during the pandemic worldwide. In this regard, to ensure partnership in science and technology policy in the member countries of the International Union of Eurasian Education Workers’ Trade Unions, prepare a Joint Strategic Document on Science and Technology under the motto “Turkic Century of Science and Culture”, etc.

Enes Ibrahim – Deputy of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia / Founding Chairman of the Association “Ufuk”; Erol Kala – Chairman of the Association of Turkic Teachers of the Republic of Kosovo; Vildan Bormambet – Acting Chairman of the Association of Teachers of Turkic-Tatar origin in Romania; Mahmud Boboerov – Deputy Chairman of the Republican Council of the Trade Union of Workers of Education and Science of Uzbekistan.
