The family of Samigolla Beketov, an employee of “ Batys su arnasy” LLP, received a warrant for a new apartment to replace the housing flooded as a result of spring floods in Uralsk.
Early resolution of the housing issue became possible after a personal conversation of the employee with the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin during his working trip to West Kazakhstan region.
To recall , the only housing of the Beketov family, located in a gardening community, was inundated during the floods. Having lost the roof over their heads and all their property, he and his wife and two children spent more than a month in an evacuation center.
At the same time, it was not possible to claim for the restoration of the house and payment of compensation for losses for a long time due to the delayed work of the special commission to determine the damage to housing and property.
The family’s difficult life situation was aggravated by the fact that the family has no financial means to rent housing, as Samigolla Beketov is the only provider in the family. His wife suffers from a serious illness and is currently unable to work.
Satybaldy Dauletalin, after listening to the problem of the family, took the solution of the issue under personal control, instructing the chairman of the Trade Union Center of West Kazakhstan region Aigul Esekenova to provide comprehensive assistance to the rapid assessment of damage and restoration of housing Beketovs.
Thanks to the prompt work and dialog between trade unions and social partners, the affected family was provided with a new well-appointed apartment.
Samigolla Beketov expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions for the sympathy shown and the prompt resolution of his family’s vital issue.
“We are very grateful to the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions and the staff of the Trade Union Center for their help in this difficult time for us. Thanks to the trade union support we were able to get new housing sooner. Now we have a roof over our heads and we can live and raise our children in peace. Your care and attention to ordinary workers inspire faith in justice. I am proud to be part of a large trade union family and grateful that in a difficult moment we were not left alone with our misfortune,” thanked Samigolla Beketov.
It is to be reminded that since the first days of emergency situation in Kazakhstan, caused by floods, the Federation of Trade Unions and its affiliated organizations rallied around the common misfortune and provided as much help as possible to compatriots. In total, trade unions have transferred about 225 million tenge of material aid and about 14 million tenge of humanitarian aid to support the affected five regions of the country.
