ILO to launch global report on employment and social trends

GENEVA (ILO News) – The International Labour Organization (ILO) will launch its flagship report, World Employment and Social Outlook – Trends 2019 (WESO), on Wednesday, February 13.

The WESO looks at the latest labour market developments related to human prosperity and welfare and gives the latest ILO data – globally and regionally – on trends such as global unemployment, informal employment and gender gaps. This report includes a detailed focus on how these changes affect progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals  (SDGs).

For UNOG accredited correspondents: There will be a press briefing on the report by Deborah Greenfield, ILO Deputy Director-General for Policy and Damian Grimshaw, Director of Research, on Wednesday, February 13 at 10am in press room one at the Palais des Nations.
