The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan extends once again its sincere condolences to the family who lost a baby in the perinatal center of Atyrau. This fact received a wide public response. Nowadays, the investigation is underway and the suspects have been taken under arrest. A special Republican Commission is working. Just the Court can put an end to this case.
All medical workers are in the crosshairs of the society’s critique. Information about the incident was spread in the media and shaken up the public. The manual of regional health administration and 31 employees of medical institution were bound to write resignation notice and to make appeal to Kasym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the country. The Head of state in his address to the nation of Kazakhstan expressed his point of view on the principle of the presumption of innocence which must be respected in full force and noted the importance of special control over the protection of the constitutional rights of citizens.
The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan monitors the situation in Atyrau from the first days and in accordance with its mission appeals to the heads of the Ministry of Health and other executive authorities to refrain from taking measures that violate the rights of health workers. The Federation will continue to protect the interests and rights of these citizens. This problem is set ahead of the territorial division of the Federation and the Branch Trade Union of employees of state institutions.
The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan notes that premature declarations with prosecutorial bias on the part of the manual of state and executive authorities are unjustifiable and call into question the legality of the observance of the constitutional rights of employees, public and civil employees.
The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan urges all institutions of civil society and public administration to remember about responsibility for actions leading to social tension and pressure on the authorities having jurisdiction including through the media.
