The chairman of Federation of Trade Unions has submitted the questions requiring the immediate solution for a meeting of the Republican tripartite commission

The meeting of the Republican tripartite commission on social partnership and regulation of the social and labor relations took place in Astana with participation of the first Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin.

The detailed report on a condition of the labor relations in regions was made by the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tamara Duyssenova. The chairman of FPRK Abelgazi Kussainov has acquainted with a situation of development of the trade union movement in RK, having placed emphases on the questions requiring the immediate solution.

In particular, it is about need of introduction of amendments to the law on trade unions, and also acceptances of categorical measures concerning the employers using agency work.

– In a number of the countries the legislation has defined the ban of agency work. We don’t have it. At the same time in JSC Arselor Mittal have begun to apply agency work. The discontent of workers grows. Now the Federation of Trade Unions together with the Ministry of Labour works on the relevant bill, – has reported Abelgazi Kussainov.

The chairman of FPRK has reminded that in June will take place the session of the ILO at which Kazakhstan citizens should report on questions which have been raised at the previous session.

– The session with participation more than 100 countries expects our answer on violations of the ILO Convention No. 87. And, from our point of view, it is necessary to accelerate process of adoption of amendments to the legislation on employers and trade unions, – has emphasized the chairman of Federation of Trade Unions.

Abelgaz Kussainov has also drawn the attention of the first Deputy Prime Minister to results of researches on a consumer basket. Have been interviewed about 1500 respondents and now together with the Ministry of Labour the question will be fulfilled further for decision-making.
