Youth employment issues discussed at the international level

From 18 to 21 May 2016 in Stockholm (Sweden) took place an international conference of member countries of cooperation networks in the framework of the ILO project “Partnership in the field of youth employment in the CIS countries.” It was attended by director of the department of social and economic protection of FPRK Satybaldy Dauletalin, as well as representatives of state bodies, representatives of workers and employers from Russia, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. The initiator of the event was the International Labour Organization.

The goal of the ILO technical cooperation project “Partnership in the field of youth employment in the CIS countries” is to contribute to improving the effectiveness of policies and youth employment programs, strengthen cooperation and establishing practices and knowledge sharing on youth employment.

During the conference was presented the experience of the State Employment Service in Sweden to provide services, forecasting the labor market and implementing programs to promote youth employment. Meetings were held with the Central association of trade unions and associations of entrepreneurs and industrialists in Sweden, where there was an exchange of views on the role of social partners in the development and implementation of employment policy. The conference was held the Fair of best practices on youth employment promotion, where participants had the opportunity to share experiences and examine best practices in the field of employment.
