The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of explaining the main provisions of the Epistle of the Head of State on five social initiatives carries out complex socio-economic activities throughout Kazakhstan.
On April 6 in Kostanay, the Forum «Five social initiatives.Social innovation. Contours of the Future» organized by the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan was opened.
Hall of the Kostanay Kazakh Drama Theater named by I. Omarov gathered 260 leaders and delegates of primary trade union organizations from all over the Kostanay region.
Participants of the Forum were also deputies of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Chamber “Atameken”.
Before the opening of the Forum in the lobby of the regional theater, it was possible to get acquainted with the exhibition “Profsoyuz.kz” which included 5 main sectors: “Social”, “Legal Aid”, “Training Center”, “Health and Tourism” and “Trade Union Discount Partners”. In own speech the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions Bakhytzhan Abdiriym conducted a qualitative analysis of all 5 initiatives of the Head of State, noting that representatives of trade unions should provide quality information to employees about the initiatives of the Head of State.
Bakhytzhan Abdiraiym noted that the FPRK pays special attention to the development of primary trade union organizations since the “primaries” accumulate the entire range of problematic issues, worries and expectations of employees.
«We are going to the primary trade-union organizations, because there should not be intermediaries between the Federation and the “primaries”. We want your voice to become decisive in solving certain problems. As part of the national debate, we are focusing on the development of our relations and stimulating the activity of primary organizations. Starting from their legal status and ending with their work» – said the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions.
At the same time, the “primaries” should intensify their work and expand the boundaries of their traditional activities. Today, trade unions need to introduce at enterprises such an indicator as “Quality of working life”, adopted in 30 countries of the developed world.
The criterion for the quality of working life includes such basic concepts as the average length of a working day and leave, the further development of safe working conditions, gender equality and much more.
The Chairman of the Federation urged to focus on issues of safety and labor protection, intensification of work on the establishment of Biot production councils, increasing the number and improving the quality of collective bargaining agreements, attracting young people to trade unions.
Within the framework of the Forum, a Memorandum on safety and labor protection and prevention of social and labor conflicts in the region between the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the mayor’s office of the Kostanay region was signed. On behalf of the parties, the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions Bakhytzhan Abdirayim and mayor of the Kostanay region Archimed Mukhambetov signed the document.

Representatives of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs «Atameken», the chairmen of the primary trade union organizations of « SSGPO» JSC, the Kostanay regional multiprofile hospital, the department of agriculture of the mayor’s office of Kostanai district, Kostanay State University participated.
In the conclusion of the first part of the Forum presentation of letters of thanks and awards to the trade union activists and social partners took place.
In the afternoon panel discussions took place on the topics of modern social policy in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the role of primary trade union organizations in the implementation of the «Roadmap» for Modernizing Trade Unions in 2018-2019, public relations in the primary trade union organization.
Also, state programs to regulate the employment market of the population and topics on effective management of the resources of a public organization were discussed.
The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan intends to continue to conduct Forums of primary organizations in the regions of Kazakhstan.
