On June 21, FPRK held a conference “Modern social and labor relations. Theory and practice of Kazakhstan ” in Astana. The Forum was attended by labour experts, leaders of public opinion and well-known economists.
Within the framework of the last conference the analysis of the complex of social and labor relations in the Republic of Kazakhstan was carried out: employment, safety and labour protection; socialization of youth, problems of decent and productive work, issues of appropriate remuneration.
As the chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the RK Bakytzhan Abdirayim noticed that FPRK creates various expert platforms for marking and solving of social and labour problems in the country.
“We live in time of rapid changes including social and labour spheres. It is necessary to improve methodological analysis in the sphere of labor relations and today’s conference is one of such universal platforms “, said the chairman of the FPRK.
Bakytzhan Abdirayim noticed the main risks of the labor market in the country among which the high level of self-employed population in the structure of the economy, the impressive imbalance in the labour market, associated with unemployment, weak development of small and medium business in Kazakhstan, high level of youth and rural unemployment.
The memorandum was signed between the Federation of Trade Unions of the RK and the Republican Collegium of Advocates within the framework of the Conference which provides assistance in creating an effective model of social and labour relations and it will be based on mechanisms partnership of the state, private sector and trade unions as well as rights protection and legitimate interests of employees.
The conference was also performed by Rahim Oshakbayev, director of the Center for Applied Research “Talap”, Yerbol Ismailov, head of the Center for Social Interaction and Communications of JSC “Samruk-Kazyna”, Mansurhan Mahambetov, deputy of the mazhilis of the Parliament of RK, Yenlik Nurgalieva, Doctor of Law, professor, President of the Eurasian Human Rights Center, Danat Zhumin, director of the Department of Political work of the party «Nur Otan», etc.
The roundtable was the third major meeting of experts of the labour market of the RK in the current year organized by the Federation of Trade Unions of the RK. The previous meetings were held on March 15, the scientific-practical conference “Labor market: world tendencies, problems and prospects” in Astana and on May 21, the roundtable «Social and labour relations in the countries of Central Asia: analysis and perspectives”.
