The seminar “Human rights and conscientious employment of foreign workers” is held in Almaty.
This event was organized by the International Organization for Migration with the support of the Ministry of Labour and Social protection of population of the RK.
The event discusses issues and problems in the field of international migration, strengthening of mechanisms of cooperation between State and other key parties for the comprehensive and effective solution of issues.
The workshop included a dialogue between the Government, the private sector and NGOs that can work together to promote ethical recruitment.
On behalf of the Federation of Trade Unions of RK the adviser of Chairman FPRK Gulnara Zhumageldieva participated in the seminar.
In her speech, she highlighted the issues of decent work, compliance with international labour standards, national legislation on ethical recruitment and the role of bilateral and multilateral agreements in the protection of human rights labour rights of migrant workers.
