The future of the Work Sector

The sphere of work undergoes drastic changes. This transformation is the result of a variety of factors from the progressive development of technology and climate change to demographic changes in the economy and employment.

Although the nature and place of work has always changed, the pace of these changes has increased tremendously, their scale has increased, and the impact has deepened and affected even existing social values.

  • Factors of change at work include globalization, automation, computerization, demographic change, global warming and other environmental phenomena, etc.
  • While they are not new, the pace of these changes over the past two decades has increased significantly because of the rapid diffusion of information and communication technologies, as well as the rapid progress in automation and computerization, development and the growing importance of new industries such as the economy of care services.
