On July 20, 2018, the Trade Union Center of Almaty organized a meeting with the delegation of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Romania FGS FAMILIA, comprising the chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Romania FGS FAMILIA Balaceanu Gheorghe, deputy chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Romania FGS “FAMILIA” Veleanu Mercedes Ramona, the Federal Secretary of the Romanian Trade Union FGS “FAMILIA” for the construction of Bire Ilie, the Federal Secretary of the Trade Union of Romania FGS “FAMILIA” Negru Ulian, For the Federation of Trade Unions of Construction and Building Materials Industry “SINDICONS” Talmaci Victor (Talmaci Victor).
During the trip, the delegation was accompanied by the chairman of the Public Association “Industrial Trade Union of Workers of the Construction Complex and Housing and Communal Services” Esengazin K.Sh., Executive Director of the RYUL “Association of Builders of Kazakhstan” Sadvakasov B. B.
At the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Center of Almaty Gotovko N.N. made a welcoming speech and talked about the history of the trade union movement in Kazakhstan, the main activities of trade unions in the period of modernization, the tasks facing the city unions to protect the social and economic rights and interests of workers, and work with young people.
Chairman of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Romania FGS “FAMILIA” Balacheanu Georg spoke about the peculiarities of the trade union movement in Romania, about regulating activities in the construction industry through agreements with employers. But the main principles of the trade union movement in Romania are similar to the principles of the trade unions of Kazakhstan. In Romania, through international cooperation, trade unions protect the interests of their citizens who went to work abroad. In addition, through the agreement of the two sides, the trade unions and employers, without the participation of the state, three foundations were created. The first is the social fund of builders – for the protection of workers, members of the trade union during idle times under weather conditions, i.e. in winter during frosts and in summer – in case of heat – payment at the expense of the fund. The second is the employee training fund and the third fund-labor inspection of trade unions without the right to inspect and impose fines.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged experience of trade union work, told about the importance and role of youth in trade unions.
At the end of the meeting, guests from Romania were presented with memorable gifts and made a photo for memory.
