Chairman of the Trade Union Center of Akmola region K. Rakhmetov took part in a meeting of the working group of the Republican Public Council to monitor the implementation of the third initiative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and improve the accessibility and quality of higher education and improve the living conditions of students, the meeting was held via videoconference. In the Akmola region, some work has been done; on the third initiative, in order to increase access to higher education, 150 grants have been allocated from the regional budget, 50 for medical specialties, 100 for teaching.
More than 25 thousand students study in universities and colleges, about 3000 of them need a hostel. It is planned to build student dormitories for 2 universities and 4 colleges.
