In Shymkent, salaries were raised in three large organizations. This was announced at a briefing by Berik Bekzhanov the chairman of the Trade Union Center of the Turkestan Region and the city of Shymkent.
The trade union center of the Turkestan region and the city of Shymkent has 17 branch trade unions. Today, it protects the rights of 217 thousand people. The main task of the trade union is the protection of the rights and interests of workers, assistance in solving social problems, improvement of working conditions. The new Labor Code provided the necessary powers and guarantees to the workers’ representatives, namely the trade unions. In order to carry out their functions namely protecting the rights and interests of workers a legal framework was created. The main goal is to properly dispose the whole range of powers and ensure full protection of the rights and interests of the employee, which is guaranteed by the collective agreement. One of the primary outcomes of the trade union work is salary increase. This was achieved with the help of tripartite commison to regulate social and labor issues, including the resolution of salary problems. The commision consists of representatives of the trade union center, akimats of the city of Shymkent and the Turkestan region and NPP “Atameken”.
“As part of the tripartite commission, we are actively working on the issues of increasing the salaries of workers. To date, there are results. Thus, in the city of Shymkent salaries were raised in three large organizations, ”B. Bekzhanov noted. At the same time, representatives of the trade union assist in the payment of salary arrears.
