THE FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN AND AKIMAT OF KYZYLORDA REGION SIGN MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION

February 13, 2019 signed a Memorandum of cooperation between the Akimat of Kyzylorda region and the Federation of the Trade Unions of Kazakhstan.

This Memorandum was signed in the framework of the message of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev “5 social initiatives”.

In accordance with the requirements of the Memorandum, both parties will supervise social initiatives, including: improvement of working conditions, protection of life and health of employees, prevention and resolution of labor disputes, compliance with labor legislation, compensation of employees, employment and registration of labor relations.

Akim of Kyzylorda region Krymbek Kusherbayev noted: “in our region, a large complex work was carried out in the field of improving social and labor relations within the framework of social partnership last year. The role of trade unions in improving the well-being of workers in the labour market remains high.”

The head of the state Nursultan Nazarbayev put before the state bodies and public organizations specific tasks to improve the welfare and well-being of the people. One of the main tasks is to preserve jobs and employment. I think that the Kyzylorda region has a great potential to solve this problem, as production in the region is developing dynamically, the oil and gas industry is developing, and agriculture is moving forward. It is for this purpose that we signed a Memorandum with the Governor’s Office of Kyzylorda region “.

On the same day, the Chairman of the FPRK met with the chairmen of the regional branch and local trade unions of the Kyzylorda regional trade Union. At present, the regional trade unions of the region unite 11 branch trade unions, 1017 primary organizations and 93 723 members. At the meeting, trade Union leaders made proposals to improve working conditions, increase wages, change some of the provisions of the Collective agreement in the Labor code.
