In Kostanay passed the first Republican Forum of freelancers “Profcoworking-2019”. For the first time the topic of free workers is raised on the initiative of the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republican trade Union of small and medium-sized businesses “”YNTYMAQ”.
The Forum was attended by representatives of free workers, small and medium-sized businesses, organizers of freelance platforms.
In his welcoming speech the Deputy Chairman of the Federation of trade unions of Kazakhstan Satybaldy of Dauletaly noted that freelancers as members of the labor relations is a relatively new category of workers. However, global trends in the labor market show that their number will grow in the future. Federation of trade unions, working ahead of the curve, already today notes the need to create a legal cushion for free employment.
The forum was also attended by representatives of North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Akmola, Aktobe regions, Astana and Almaty.
The task of the discussion was to answer the questions of a new dynamic segment of employment. Who are freelancers? Where is the border between a freelancer and a businessman? What are the legal basis for freelancers in Kazakhstan? What risks do free professionals face? Do we need to unite to solve common problems? And many other questions.
Speakers of the forum-blogger Bakhyt Syzdykova (Astana), Muslim hasenov PhD, associate Professor of Eurasian University. L. N. Gumileva, Director of the research Institute of labor and corporate law, David Tuganov, Change Master, President of the Association of specialists in the field of IT ISACA Astana highlighted the legal aspects of the freelancer and the prospects of transformation of the legal airbag of free workers, the restructuring of the consciousness of modern specialists and adaptation to the challenges of the labor market, the organization of workspace (coworking zone) and other issues.
Before the plenary session there was a demonstration of some successful freelance projects and craft (home) productions in Kostanay region. Among the objects of the demonstration-IT and art direction, educational services, production of children’s games and benefits, personal coaching services.
The Forum participants proposed project ideas and initiatives. The successful experience of the organization of freelance space on the example of the business fair was presented. Also proposed the initiative of creating a network of co-working areas for working professions, for example a sewing workshop OO “Rauan”.
On the day of the Forum, the office coworking zone in the house of trade unions began its work, three workplaces are equipped with computer office equipment, free Internet and workplaces.
Another area discussed at the Republican dialogue platform was the future Association of employees of free employment. According to the Memorandum signed between the Republican trade Union of small and medium-sized businesses “Yntymaq” and JSC “TransTeleCom”, the parties will start developing a virtual platform for such an Association this month. The project of mobile application for freelancers Association was presented to the participants and opened for proposals.
The participants of the event noted that this Forum was the first dialogue platform to discuss the problems of free employment in Kazakhstan.
