As part of the celebration of Trade Union Day, Yeraly Tugzhanov began his visit by participating in the opening ceremony of the entrance gates of the city of Arys of the Turkestan region, which were built by the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan (FPRK).
Union Day is officially celebrated for the first time this year. In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 22, 2019 No. 303, October 10 was established by the Day of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and is included in the List of Public Holidays of the country.
The construction of the city gate was started in August this year after the tragic events in Arys. FPRK did not stand aside and contributed to the restoration of the city.
25 people and 6 units of construction equipment were involved in the construction. The total estimated cost of the facility amounted to 30 million tenge.
During the opening ceremony, the head of the FPRK emphasized the importance of a sense of ownership and unity of Kazakhstan people in difficult times for Arys people.
“As people say: ‘’Бірлігі бар елдің, белін ешкім сындырмас’’. Our strength is in unity. The tragedy that happened was a serious test of strength, but did not break our fortitude and aspirations for the future. Every Kazakhstani man showed willingness to give a helping hand to the injured brethren, ”Eraly Tugzhanov emphasized.
Akim of Turkestan region Umirzak Shukeyev noted the significant contribution of the Federation of Trade Unions to the restoration of the city and expressed his gratitude for the initiative.
Residents of the city of Arys also expressed gratitude to the Federation of Trade Unions.
