Members of the General Council of the FPRC reviewed the draft fundamental documents that will be the subject of discussion at the upcoming XXVI Congress of the Federation of trade unions.
According to the Chairman of the Federation of trade unions Satybaldy Dauletalin, the draft Strategy of the FPRC has incorporated current aspects of the social and labor sphere that concern the country’s workers today.
“At present, there are many challenges that impose great responsibility and require trade unions to respond accordingly. We must find answers to these questions. Before us stands the main goal is to develop a Strategy that will enable us to effectively carry out its activities for the next five years”, — said Satybaldy Dauletaly.
Referring to the content of the document prepared by the representatives of the member organizations of the Federation, the head of the FPRK reported that all the initiatives of the FPRK are centred on the six core values of the man of work, team, family, reliability, openness, and uniqueness.
“The mission of the Federation of trade unions is the collective protection of professional and social-labor rights and interests of employees. With the successful implementation of the Strategy, the Federation sees itself as a strong, influential organization that protects the rights and interests of workers, acts as responsible entity of social partnership, promotes the implementation of internationally recognized standards in the field of labor and work constructively with civil society inside the country and trade Union organisations abroad”, — said Chairman of the Federation of trade unions.
According to him, the Strategy emphasizes that the work of the Federation and its structures in the next five years will focus on five areas of protection of the rights and interests of employees. It is about improving the system of remuneration, creating decent working conditions, social protection of trade Union members, resolving labor disputes and conflicts, and public control.
The members of the General Council unanimously approved the content of the draft Strategy and supported its submission to the FPRC Congress.
The meeting also approved a number of amendments to the Charter of the Federation of trade unions.
According to Gulnara Zhumageldieva, Deputy Chairman of the fprc, amendments to the Charter of the fprc are due to the need to fill existing gaps in legal regulation and update its provisions, taking into account its application and positive foreign experience.
It is proposed, in particular, to expand the sphere of interaction of the Federation of trade unions not only with the Government, but also with other branches of government, to provide for the right of the fprc to act in the interests of member organizations and trade Union members in court, to expand the goals of the Federation’s activities to create educational and research organizations, and more.
“The challenges of the time require prompt decision-making on the most important issues. In this regard, the Supreme body of the Federation-the Congress – will have the right to delegate certain powers to the General Council, Executive Committee, and Chairman of the Federation, with the exception of powers that fall within the exclusive competence of the Congress,” Gulnara Zhumageldieva said.
The requirements for the candidacy Of the Chairman of the Federation have been revised. According to the draft Charter, the same person may not be elected to the post Of Chairman of the Federation for more than two consecutive terms.
Members of the General Council by direct vote, the decision on the nomination of Congress candidates Satybaldy Deleteline to be elected President of the Federation of trade unions.
During the meeting, changes in the composition of the General Council of the FPRC were approved.
A resolution was adopted to terminate the membership of the Branch trade Union of business workers in the FPRC and remove its Chairman Samat Murzatayev from the General Council in connection with the liquidation of the trade Union organization.

The meeting also discussed the formation of the working bodies of the Congress, the audit Commission of the FPRC, the resolutions of the Congress, and the rebranding of the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
