Observers from trade Union public associations of Pavlodar region took part in a training seminar organized by the Republican headquarters of observers of the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the topic “Election observation: theory and practice”.
Moderator of the seminar-Deputy Chairman of the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Uteshev N. S. focused on the functions and role of election observers.
The speaker of the seminar, senior research fellow, master of social Sciences Kazakhstan Institute for strategic studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan S. B. Akhmetzharov interesting and accessible explained the basic provisions of article 20-1 of Chapter 2 of the constitutional Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan” and on examples of case study tasks in an interactive exchange with participants were revealed the response strategy of observers in different situations at the polling station.
Members of the regional headquarters for election observation of the trade Union center of Pavlodar region Deputy Chairman M. A. Ivanova, Chairman of the NGO ” Local trade Union of employees of the power system “PAVLODARENERGO” B. K. Toleubaev, chief specialist in legal issues and mediation D. R. Kayyrbek took an active part in the seminar at the stage of discussing options for solving case problems.

The seminar organized by the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan on training observers from trade Union public associations aroused the active interest of observers and is of great practical importance for preparing for the election observation procedure.
Recall: in connection with the upcoming elections of deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and maslikhats of all levels on January 10, 2021, the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan made a Statement on participation in the elections as observers, supported by all member organizations.
