A press conference of the center for non-partisan election observation was held in Nur-Sultan.
The head of the Center, Banu Nurgazieva, President of the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan, spoke about the activities of this Center, the commitment to the Declaration of global principles of non-partisan observation and monitoring of elections by public organizations, signed by 245 organizations-members of the Global network of national election observers from about 90 countries.
The civil Alliance of Kazakhstan, as the largest Association of non-governmental organizations, decided to consolidate the efforts of various NGOs and created this Center, which is ready for constructive cooperation with all non-partisan observers. The center will train observers in accordance with the best international standards in order to maximize coverage of polling stations across the country, ” Nurgazieva said.
Nurlan Uteshev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of trade unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, head of the Republican headquarters of observers from the FPRK, spoke about the work of the headquarters of observers from trade unions.
Since the first meeting of The Republican staff of the fprc, about 2.5 thousand people out of almost 7 thousand observers have been trained.
The second session also raised issues of improving the quality of training and methodological materials for our observers.
In General, we believe that combining efforts on the site of the presented center for non-partisan election observation is effective, ” Uteshev said.
Aigul Solovyova, a well-known public figure, spoke about the draft Charter of independent observers, who supported it, and the planned plans.
The Charter is based on the principles of the OSCE and the Convention on standards for democratic elections. Any public associations and civil activists can join the Charter, ” Solovyova said.
Invited experts-President of the international center for geopolitical forecasting “East-West”, doctor of political Sciences, Professor Karlygash Nugmanova; Professor of the Institute of Diplomacy, Ph. D. Taisiya Marmontova analyzed and gave their assessment of these initiatives.
In an online format, the opinion of one of the country’s most respected political scientists, a member of the National Council of public trust under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Director of the NGO “center for topical research “Alternative” Andrey Chebotarev was voiced.

I have read international documents on non-partisan election observation, this Declaration of principles and Code of ethics for non-partisan observers adopted under the auspices of the United Nations.
