THE EDUCATIONAL ONLINE MARATHON OF THE FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS CONTINUED ITS WORK IN THE NORTH KAZAKHSTAN REGION

Within the framework of the educational online marathon of the Federation of Trade Unions, a seminar was held with the participation of trade union activists of the North Kazakhstan region.

Opening the seminar, Deputy Director of the Department of Organizational and Personnel Work of the FTURK Lyazzat Eszhanova announced the completion of a series of seminars on the following topics: “Recent amendments and additions to the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “Practice of resolving labor disputes in court” and “Social Partnership”.

According to her, next year the work of the online marathon will be continued with seminars with a new trade union theme.

“Today, such topics as leadership development, negotiation skills and stress tolerance are relevant for our audience. There will also be a separate topic on information work. We need to be able to show our work. Currently, 70% of teachers are trained on these topics. Therefore, the topic of the seminars will change completely next year,” Lyazzat Eszhanova said.

Timur Nugmanov, Director of the Department of Legal Support and International Cooperation of the FTURK, told about the latest changes and additions to the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the seminar. In particular, he explained in detail to the participants the new legislative norms regulating the issues of remote work.

Timur Nugmanov noted that the FTURK continues to work on improving labor legislation and urged participants to send their proposals to the FTURK working group.

Marina Ivanova, Head of the Reconciliation Center of the Professional Center of the Pavlodar region, familiarized the participants with the judicial practice of resolving labor disputes using specific examples.

The key aspects of social partnership were presented in her speech by the head of the Department of the Committee on SEA and JC FTURK Aizhan Ibraeva. The lecturer presented the basic technologies for the development of a collective agreement, the mechanisms for its implementation, and also spoke about the methods of collective bargaining and important aspects of strengthening social partnership.

Following the results of the presentations, an active discussion of the issues voiced at the seminar took place.

 At the end of the meeting, the chief specialist of the Trade Union Center of the North Kazakhstan region Lyudmila Golenkova thanked the organizers for useful information and noted the positive impact of such events on the effectiveness of trade unions.
