As part of the republican campaign “How do you live, primary?”, an online visit to the primary trade union organization of the State Enterprise on the PCV “Оңтүстік жолдары” of the Department of Passenger Transport and Highways of the Turkestan region took place.
The online event was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Uteshev, deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Bekzhanov, Chairman of the Trade Union Center of the Turkestan region Berdigali Omirali, Chairman of the local trade union of road transport enterprises and roads of the Turkestan region Ali Mammadov, chairman of the primary trade union organization “Оңтүстік жолдары” Tasbolat Sadibekov and trade union activists of the enterprise.
Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the FTURK Nurlan Uteshev noted the importance of meetings of the leadership of the FTURK with labor collectives. According to him, the Republican action “How do you live, primary?” was initiated by the Federation of Trade Unions in 2021 in order to support primary organizations and create a system of “feedback” with labor collectives.
As part of the campaign, more than 400 online meetings were held with primary trade union organizations of all regions and industries.
“Such meetings allow us to exchange experience, openly raise problems in labor collectives and take optimal measures to solve them,” Nurlan Uteshev stressed.
Deputy of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Berik Bekzhanov, in turn, focused on the most pressing issues of the trade union agenda.
He stressed that the government is currently considering a set of large-scale measures to create conditions for timely and decent remuneration of employees. According to him, this issue is under the control of the Head of State.
“In general, the problem of wages remains relevant today, measures are being taken to solve them. The minimum wage has been increased from 42,500 to 60,000 tenge. The level of remuneration for teachers, doctors, librarians was raised. At the moment, the issue of increasing the wages of workers working in difficult conditions is being resolved,” Berik Bekzhanov said.
During the meeting, an introductory video about the work carried out in the primary trade union organization “Оңтүстік жолдары” was presented to the attention of the participants.
Chairman of the trade union committee Tasbolat Sadibekov told about the work of the primary.
He said that the State Enterprise for PCV “Оңтүстік жолдары” was created in March 2014. The main goal of the enterprise is the maintenance of highways of regional significance and ensuring uninterrupted, safe and comfortable movement of vehicles throughout the year. According to him, in 2021, a large amount of work was carried out on the development of the road industry, as a result of which the level of road safety, as well as indicators of cargo turnover and passenger traffic significantly increased.
Today, the company employs 163 employees, all of them are members of the trade union. In “Оңтүстік жолдары” there is protection of socio-economic legal interests of employees.
“In order to develop the cohesion of trade union members, various events are regularly held in the collective. To motivate employees who work in special conditions, the trade union pays attention and presents various gifts, letters of thanks. Also, the collective provides financial assistance to low-income members of the trade union with many children,” Tasbolat Sadibekov stressed.
In turn, the chairman of the local trade union of automobile transport and road facilities of Turkestan region Ali Mammadov expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Federation of Trade Unions and deputies of the Majilis of the Parliament for their support and noted the special significance of meetings held within the framework of the campaign “How are you, primary?” for labor collectives.
The local trade union consists of 27 primary organizations uniting 1,800 members of the trade union.
During the meeting, the company’s employees expressed their wishes for a salary increase and offered to consider issues related to preferential vouchers to trade union health resorts.
Deputy Chairman of the FTURK Nurlan Uteshev reported on the initiatives of the Federation of Trade Unions to improve the welfare of citizens, announced by the Chairman of the FTURK at a meeting of the Republican Tripartite Commission.
Regarding sanatorium vouchers, he replied that a medical rehabilitation project is currently being developed, which starts in pilot mode from the Shchuchinsky sanatorium.
Summing up the meeting, Nurlan Uteshev expressed gratitude to the participants of the meeting, noted the positive work of the trade union of the enterprise in protecting the social and labor rights and interests of employees. He called on the trade union to unite in promoting trade union ideas.
“The more openly our meetings with the teams are held, the more effectively the Federation and its member organizations can protect the socio-economic rights and legitimate interests of employees at all levels of social partnership. The fulfillment of these tasks depends on the activity of the trade union organization and the cohesion of trade union organizations,” said the Deputy Chairman of the FTURK.
