THE RULES FOR PROVIDING SANITARY AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF WORKING CONDITIONS ARE NORMATIVELY FIXED

A regular meeting of the Karaganda Regional Tripartite Commission on Social Partnership and Regulation of Social and Labor relations was held under the chairmanship of Zhenis Kasymbek, Akim of the Karaganda region.

At the meeting, the issues of “State and public control over the state of occupational injuries, prevention of occupational diseases in order to identify common trends and take preventive measures” and “On the fulfillment of the requirements put forward by employees of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP during protest actions in January 2022” were considered.

On these issues, reports were heard from representatives of the parties to the social partnership: heads of the Labor Inspection Department, the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Karaganda region, the administration of JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau”, LLP “Corporation “Kazakhmys”, the Trade Union Center and the Commonwealth of Free Trade Unions of the Karaganda region, as well as the NAO “Medical University of Karaganda”, akimats of the cities of Zhezkazgan and Satpayev. During the discussion by the trade unions, it was noted that in March of this year, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan amended the following Orders: “On approval of the procedure for registration by healthcare entities at the place of their detection of all cases of occupational diseases and (or) poisoning, including suspected occupational diseases and (or) poisoning caused by exposure on the employee of harmful production factors in connection with the employee’s performance of their labor (official) duties, or other actions, on their own initiative in the interests of the employer”, “On approval of the rules for the examination of the connection of occupational disease with the performance of labor (official) duties”, this issue was raised in October 2020 by employees of the Coal Department of JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau”, which in April 2021 was considered with the assistance of the Akimat of the Karaganda region, with the participation of Mukhtar Tinikeev – First Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the initiative of the Trade Union Center of the Karaganda region and the Coal Miners’ Union “Қорғау”. Following the results of the joint discussion, the members of the Regional Trilateral Commission made a number of recommendations and made coordinated decisions.
