During a working trip to the North Kazakhstan region, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin visited a number of enterprises and organizations within the framework of the Republican Campaign “How are you, primary?”
The campaign “How do you live, primary?” initiated by the FTURK has been held for the third year. During this time, more than 900 meetings of the leadership of the Federation of Trade Unions with the labor collectives of the country took place. Launched during the difficult time of the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of online visits, the campaign has grown into a platform for direct feedback from trade union members at their workplaces.
Members of trade unions of cultural workers from all districts of the region gathered in the Petropavlovsk Regional Museum of Local History to meet with Satybaldy Dauletalin. The Chairman of the Republican Branch Trade Union of Culture, Sports and Information Workers Svetlana Imankulova and her colleagues – representatives of the cultural community told the Chairman of the FTURK about the urgent problems in the industry. They concerned the low wages of the support staff of cultural institutions, sports organizations, and the lack of compensation payments for workers in rural areas.
By the way, these problems were voiced by the Chairman of the FTURK during a meeting of the regional tripartite commission on social partnership with the participation of Akim of the North Kazakhstan region Kumar Aksakalov. The head of the region promised to assist in solving the problem with compensation payments in the near future.
“Culture is the basis of the spiritual development of our people. Only highly cultured societies can develop the state and build a strong economy. The appeals of the Federation of Trade Unions were not ignored, on behalf of the Head of State, the wages of culture and sports workers are increased annually. In January 2020, salaries were increased by 50% in the republican organizations of culture, archives and by 35% – the salaries of these organizations at the local level. Further implementation of this issue is under the control of the Federation of Trade Unions,” said Satybaldy Dauletalin.
During a working trip to the North Kazakhstan region, the Chairman of the FTURK also met at a round table with the chairmen of primary trade union organizations of the healthcare system, housing and communal services, railway transport, agriculture, education, and construction industries.
During the conversation, the chairmen of trade union committees noted the relevance of the Action “How are you living, primary?”.
“We are checking the clock with our Federation, we have the opportunity to express our suggestions, share our problems. But, most importantly, these meetings bring results. Thanks to the assistance of the Federation, many acute problems of doctors, especially during the pandemic, have been solved,” said Daria Petrishcheva, chairman of the Trade union Committee of the Multidisciplinary Regional Hospital.
In turn, Olga Rakhmatulina, the chairman of the primary trade union organization of JSC “North Kazakhstan Electric Distribution Company”, thanked for the attention to the employees of enterprises in the special action of the FTURK “Faces of Labor” and noted that she was watching with interest the broadcasts of the YouTube channel of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the construction company “Osnovanie” LLP, where 248 members of the primary trade union organization work, Satybaldy Dauletalin was also interested in the working conditions of employees. It is noteworthy that the director of the enterprise Sergey Timofeev is one of the signatories of the Regional Agreement on Social Partnership from the Employers’ Association. Therefore, the “Foundation” pays special attention to the development of social and labor relations between the employer and the trade union organization.
“Your company was one of the first in the region to introduce the trade union action “Labor Consultations”. It is commendable that the employer coordinates and discusses all relevant issues with the trade union committee. Thanks to the “labor consultations” at dozens of enterprises in the country, it was possible to relieve social tension,” the Chairman of the FTURK stressed at a meeting with the labor collective of builders.
Recall that one of the main goals of the visit of the Head of the FTURK to the North Kazakhstan region is to personally meet with ordinary members of trade unions, discuss issues of social partnership on the ground and help solve the urgent problems of employees of enterprises.
