As part of the campaign “How do you live, primary school?” Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurlan Uteshev met with the staff of Turkestan Transport Company LLP.
The online meeting was attended by the acting chairman of the Trade Union Center in Shymkent Zharkynbek Kurmanbek, the head of Turkestan Transport Company LLP Meirkhan Pirnazarov, the chairman of the primary trade union organization Abdibek Ukibaev and employees of the company.
Acting President addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. Chairman of the Trade Union Center Zharkynbek Kurmanbek, who noted the important role of the action carried out by the FPRK in the light of consideration and resolution of topical issues of labor collectives.
During the event, a specially prepared video material was presented on the work and achievements of the primary trade union organization of the Turkestan Transport Company.
The chairman of the primary trade union organization Abdibek Ukibaev, in turn, spoke about the work, tasks and successes of the primary trade union organization, as well as plans for the future.
According to him, today the company employs 690 employees, all of them are union members.
Favorable conditions have been created for the company’s employees, each employee receives support from the trade union. In recognition of the work of employees, the trade union organizes awards and special gifts for anniversaries, in honor of a birthday or reaching retirement age. Guarantees are also provided for the provision of health resorts for employees.
The protection of the socio-economic rights and interests of trade union members is 100 percent ensured.
Meirkhan Pirnazarov, speaking at the meeting, said that thanks to the assistance of the trade union, the wages of drivers have increased.
In addition, he spoke about the problem of the shortage of public transport drivers and said that the company is preparing a special offer aimed at increasing the prestige of the profession.
Zharkynbek Kurmanbek announced plans to train the company’s employees in terms of labor protection and safety.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions Nurlan Uteshev said that in connection with the announcement of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2023 as the “Year of Safe Work”, special attention is paid to the issues of labor protection of workers. The Deputy Chairman of the FPRK highly appreciated the level of social partnership at the enterprise.
“Turkestan transport company today takes on high social responsibility and contributes to the comprehensive improvement and systematization of ongoing work in the field of safety and labor protection,” Nurlan Uteshev emphasized.
On other problematic issues, he said that they would not remain unanswered and the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan would carry out appropriate work with social partners in search of their solutions in the legal field.
