MEMBERS OF THE SPECA YOUTH COUNCIL APPROVED THE COMPOSITION AND REGULATIONS OF THE NEW ORGANIZATION

On Tuesday, August 8, the first meeting of the Youth Council under the Council of Trade Unions of the Central Asian countries took place, during which the young trade union leaders of the Central Asian region approved the composition, position and plan of activities of the new youth structure.

Nurlan Uteshev, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, addressed the participants of the first organizational meeting with words of parting words, who noted the importance of the successful development of the activities of the SPECA Youth Council.

“The fruitful activity of the Youth Council is a matter of sustainable development of the trade union movement in Central Asia. It is in the tradition of the National Trade Union Centers of our countries to resolve any issues of protecting the rights of ordinary members through dialogue. As part of the joint work, you, the young trade union leaders, will have to build an open dialogue, jointly consider the problems of working youth and find ways to solve them. I am sure that the SPECA Youth Council will become an effective platform for regional cooperation,” said Nurlan Uteshev.

In total, the Youth Council included 10 representatives from the SPECA member countries.

Ayan Salimgereev, chairman of the Youth Council “KELESHEK” under the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, chairing the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian countries, became the chairman of the council.

From Kazakhstan, the Council also included the chairman of the Youth Council “KELESHEK” at the Trade Union Center of Pavlodar region Gulzira Atabayeva, the chairman of the Youth Council “KELESHEK” at the Trade Union Center of Karaganda region Aimira Bagramova.

Trade unions of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Council will be represented by the Deputy Chairman of the FPC for investment projects and youth policy on a voluntary basis, the Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Construction and Industrial Construction Materials Workers of the Kyrgyz Republic Eldiyar Karachalov and the Chairman of the Youth Council of the Republican Committee of the Trade Union of Aviation Workers of the Kyrgyz Republic Daniyar Bekkulov.

From the trade unions of Uzbekistan, the members of the Council were the adviser of the FPU on youth affairs, the head of the department for working with youth Umid Zakirlayev and the chief specialist of the international department of the FPU Eldor Shukurullaev.

Galbadrakh Bilegdemberel, Chairman of the Youth Committee of the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions, was elected a member of the Youth Council from Mongolia.

Tajikistan will be represented in the Council by Deputy Chairman of the Youth Council of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan Davlatzoda Karomatullo and Senior Specialist of the International Department and Public Relations of the Republic of Tajikistan of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of the Republic of Tajikistan Nozanin Mirzoeva.

In the adopted Regulations, the members of the SPECA Youth Council outlined the legal status, goals and objectives of the new structure.

The Youth Council is a consultative and advisory body under the SPECA. The main goals of the organization are the protection of social, labor, economic and other rights and interests of young workers, as well as assistance in the implementation of socially useful initiatives of the working youth of Central Asia.

The tasks of the Youth Council are defined as the formation and implementation of a unified SPECA youth policy, the development of information and educational programs for young people, the formation of new incentives to motivate trade union membership and work in trade union bodies at various levels, as well as the development of common positions on topical issues of the trade union movement.

Following the discussion of promising areas of activity, the Chairman of the SPECA Youth Council – Chairman of the Keleshek Youth Council of the FPRK Ayan Salimgereev called on colleagues for effective cooperation and concrete actions in the light of realizing new opportunities for trade union youth.

“Young people play a key role in shaping the future and in ensuring the sustainable development of our countries. It is important to remember that every idea we have, every discussion we have today, can lead to practical actions that can change the lives of young people in our countries for the better. Through joint efforts and mutual respect, we can truly influence events and have a positive impact on society. Let our Council be a source of new ideas, bold decisions and long-term partnership. Let’s combine our intellect, enthusiasm and energy to make our region even more prosperous and youth friendly,” said Ayan Salimgereev.

The meeting participants expressed their readiness to cooperate in promoting joint initiatives aimed at protecting and comprehensively supporting the working youth of the Central Asian region.

Recall that the SPECA Youth Council was established on the initiative of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the III meeting of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian countries, held in Astana in May this year.

Proposing the creation of a youth organization, the SPECA Secretary General – Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin outlined key areas for the implementation of youth policy: social support for youth, youth employment, decent working conditions and decent wages for young workers.
