The Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin held the final meeting in the Karaganda region in the Trade Union Center with the trade union activists and members of the deputy group «Enbek» of the Karaganda region and the professional leaders of the Ulytau region.
Satybaldy Dauletalin shared with the participants of the meeting the most important events of an international scale – the restoration of the membership of the Federation of Trade Unions in the International Confederation of Trade Unions and the creation of the Organization of Trade Unions of Turkic countries.
Addressing his colleagues, he noted the importance of strengthening intra-union unity.
“The Federation and about 2 million members of the trade union are behind you. We are united in all our aspirations and are always ready to support in a difficult moment. Our common goal is to build a Fair Kazakhstan, and the most important thing is to achieve an increase in the welfare of the population, a fair distribution of income and ensure safe working conditions for employees” Satybaldy Dauletalin stressed.
He said that the Federation of Trade Unions is actively involved in the development of the draft National Program on Decent Work for 2024-2026, as well as in the development of the Concept of Safe work in the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2030.
Bolat Zhumabekov, its head, talked about the measures taken by the territorial association of trade unions of the region to protect the rights and interests of workers.
Evgeny Buslaev, Chairman of the coal miners’ union «Korgau», shared his vision of solving problematic issues of coal industry workers.
The chairmen of branches of branch and local trade unions reported on the state of labor relations in various industries.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the FTURK Satybaldy Dauletalin got acquainted with the work of the regional branch of the Legal Clinic, the head of which Sveta Shardarbekova told about the joint work of mediators, lawyers and occupational pathologists.
“Since the beginning of 2023, as of August 24 this year, 60 applications have been received by the branch of the Legal Clinic. In the 1st half of 2023, based on JSC «ArcelorMittal Temirtau», lawyers of the branch of the Legal Clinic held a public reception of 132 employees of the enterprise, who were given consultations on labor relations” Sveta Shardarbekova said.
Satybaldy Dauletalin noted the importance of legal support for employees of enterprises in the region.
He set several specific tasks to solve the problems of the development of social and labor relations in the region and the persistent participation of trade unions in strengthening the position of workers of the Karaganda region and the Ulytau region.
