As part of a working visit to the Pavlodar region, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin visited the “Moiyldy” sanatorium and familiarized himself with its лечебно-оздоровительная base and the conditions of stay for workers.
The “Moiyldy” sanatorium is one of the oldest operating health resorts in Kazakhstan, with its history dating back to 1912. The complex is located on the берег of the eponymous лечебное lake, 10 kilometers from the city of Pavlodar, and is a multidisciplinary санаторно-курортное institution designed for more than 600 beds during the seasonal period and over 500 during the off-season.
During the meeting, the director of the sanatorium, Kairat Yskak, reported that the infrastructure includes 4 accommodation buildings and 2 medical buildings combined into a single complex. A full cycle of stay is organized for guests, including accommodation, four meals a day with a dietary menu, medical supervision, and rehabilitation procedures. Meals are provided in several dining halls of varying comfort levels, including standard and premium service halls.

Facilities for leisure and physical activity operate on the sanatorium grounds: a gym, sports grounds for team games, table tennis, billiards, and chess areas. In addition, excursion programs to the city of Pavlodar are organized, including visits to cultural and historical sites.
The medical base of the institution is built on the unique natural complex of Lake Moiyldy. It includes лечебные silt muds, brine (a saturated salt solution), as well as underground mineral waters from two wells with sulfate-chloride sodium composition. Deposits of blue and black clay are also used for therapeutic and косметологические procedures.

The sanatorium specializes in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral nervous system, gastrointestinal tract, respiratory organs, as well as rehabilitation programs after chronic diseases. The range of procedures includes mud therapy, balneotherapy, physiotherapy, massage techniques, hydrocolonotherapy, underwater shower massage, Charcot shower, circular shower, as well as antler and selenium baths.
“The sanatorium functions as a unified лечебно-оздоровительный complex, where natural factors—mud, brine, and mineral waters—are integrated with modern medical technologies. We provide a full cycle of stay: from accommodation and meals to individualized health recovery programs. Special attention is paid to dietary nutrition and creating conditions for comfortable and safe treatment,” said Kairat Yskak.
He also подробно explained the mechanisms of therapeutic effects of natural factors.

“The effectiveness of санаторное treatment is ensured by the unique combination of highly mineralized muds, brine, and mineral waters. Therapeutic silt in Lake Moiyldy is formed through the activity of microorganisms and crustaceans Artemia salina, which gives the mud pronounced therapeutic properties. In combination with mineral waters and clay, this allows achieving a stable effect in diseases of joints, spine, nervous system, and metabolic disorders,” emphasized Kairat Yskak.
The director of the health resort also added that a wide range of modern rehabilitation technologies is used at the sanatorium.

“We use physiotherapy equipment, аппаратные recovery methods, various types of massage, hydrotherapy, and individualized rehabilitation programs. The approach is based on combining natural resources with medical technologies, which ensures comprehensive recovery of patients’ health,” he noted.
Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin emphasized the special importance of the sanatorium-resort system as part of FTURK’s social policy and worker health protection.
“Sanatorium-resort institutions such as ‘Moiyldy’ are an important element of the system of social protection for workers. This is not only treatment but also prevention of occupational diseases, reduction of industrial risks, and restoration of labor potential. For trade unions, it is fundamentally important that access to such services is stable, equal, and expanded for all categories of workers,” he stressed.
The Chairman of FTURK also noted the need for further development of health infrastructure.

“For the Federation of Trade Unions, the development of trade union health resorts is an investment in the health of the working person. The higher the quality of prevention and recovery, the lower the level of occupational injuries and diseases. This experience should be systematically scaled across the regions,” he added.
It was noted that the development of sanatorium-resort and hotel infrastructure in the Pavlodar region contributes to expanding opportunities for workers’ health improvement, strengthening the system of social support, and improving the quality of life of the population.
