A round table on raising the minimum wage, organized by the FTURK Youth Council on raising the minimum wage, was held in Astana today.
The chairman of the trade union committee of “Lokomotiv Kurastyru Zauyty” JSC Zhumash Nurlybek, the head of the Republican Youth Development Center at the Congress of Youth of Kazakhstan Yergaz Azimkhanuly, as well as representatives of public organizations and business took part in the round table.
According to the participants of the Round Table in all the Messages of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev of recent years, it is noted that it is man’s competitiveness, and not the availability of mineral resources becomes a factor of success of the nation.
“A man of labor has been and remains a stronghold of the state, the main subject of productive power, an effective figure in the implementation of state development programs of the country, the introduction of new equipment and technology. The production of high-quality products and the provision of services depends on the competitiveness of the working people, their qualifications and responsibility, ”said Yerlan Sairov, the Vice-President of FTURK.
In order to further enhance the role and strengthening of the place of the working man in economic development, the Council for Youth Affairs of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan recommended to executive bodies, trade unions, employers and their associations: – to bring to the consideration of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan the question of equating BOS (base official salary) of civil servants to the level of the minimum wage; – to develop social partnership, raise the role of tripartite (bilateral) commissions in the regulation of social and labor relations;
– to provide for in collective and labor contracts obligations that allow to increase wages, improve working conditions, the living conditions of workers and their families; – to strictly observe the norms and requirements of safety and labor protection, improve the working life of workers; – to study the needs of workers in the labor market, taking into account the development of the economy and the challenges of our time
