On Saturdays and Sundays, under the chairmanship of Zhenis Kasymbek – Akim of the Karaganda region, the work of the conciliation commission on resolving issues of labor collectives of JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau” was continued.
These days, the issues of monitoring all accidents that occurred at enterprises, updating and replacing a technically unusable, outdated bus fleet, the introduction of an increasing coefficient for employees of the department “Spetsshakhtomontazhdegazatsiya” who work in underground conditions were discussed.
The company agreed to start developing acts on the normative number and staffing by the end of this year, with subsequent submission to the discussion of the labor collective, as well as to develop a regulatory act on the internal procedure for adjusting planned production tasks for reasons of changes in mining and geological conditions, problems with the organization of production processes, technological downtime of equipment, for reasons beyond the control of employees.
The Company’s administration has practically acceptable proposals for payments: for years of service, the thirteenth salary, new approaches to wage indexation, taking into account inflation for 2021.
It should be noted that the work of the Commission takes place in the format of an industrial, socio-economic dialogue, and yet the workers’ side expects a positive decision from the shareholders of the world’s largest steel company ArcelorMittal, in terms of a specific increase in wages for employees, which would really correspond to the realities of a decent life for the families of miners-metallurgists.
The Commission consists of: representatives of eight coal mines elected from labor collectives, plant management of JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau”, chairmen of trade union organizations of metallurgists “Zhaktau”, coal miners “Korgau” and employees of “Orken Atasu”, also deputy Akims of the Karaganda region, heads of the Trade Union Center of the Karaganda region of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and mining and metallurgical company JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau”.
