“HOW DO YOU LIVE, PRIMARY?”: THE LEADERSHIP OF THE FTURK MET WITH THE STAFF OF JSC “TRAM ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY OF PAVLODAR”

As part of the campaign “How do you live, primary?”, the First Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions Mukhtar Tinikeev met with members of the primary trade union organization of JSC “Tramway Administration of the city of Pavlodar”.

Welcoming the participants of the meeting, the chairman of the Trade Union Center of Pavlodar region Dinara Aitzhanova noted the importance of the initiative of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan to hold meetings of the leadership of the FTURK with representatives of primary trade union organizations.

“The primary trade union organization “Tram Administration of the city of Pavlodar” has accumulated a huge fruitful experience of trade union work, the mechanism of social partnership works effectively,” Dinara Aitzhanova noted.

In her speech, the chairman of the primary trade union organization, Aida Dzhanalieva, spoke about the work of the trade union committee to create decent working conditions, the work of technical labor inspectors as part of the production council, the development and adoption of a collective agreement, support for labor veterans and youth, as well as the provision of benefits and guarantees.

According to her, the company has provided 100% coverage of trade union membership with a full-time staff of 641 employees.

The collective agreement at the enterprise was adopted on May 29, 2018. On November 26, 2020, the document was amended and supplemented.

“The collective agreement provides for such benefits as one-time financial assistance for the period of vacation, compensation for rent, additional payments to employees with harmful working conditions,” Aida Dzhanalieva said.

Vitaly Sirik, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Tram Administration of the City of Pavlodar, in turn, stressed the importance of developing social partnership and noted that all significant decisions at the enterprise are made jointly with the primary trade union organization.

In this regard, Dinara Aitzhanova thanked the management of the enterprise for the support of employees, including for the support provided by the administration during the emergency declared in connection with the coronavirus pandemic.

Aizhan Amrenova, Head of the Personnel Department of Pavlodar Tramway Administration JSC, noted in her speech that the main priority in the company’s activities is the protection of health and protection from exposure to hazardous factors of each employee. She spoke about the joint work as part of the production council with trade unions, whose interests are represented by 7 technical inspectors on labor protection.

According to her, last year the company spent more than 25 million tenge on labor protection.

The chairman of the Local Trade Union of workers of housing and Communal services, transport, construction complex and services of Pavlodar region” Nelly Karimova confirmed the high level of development of social partnership at the enterprise.

“The tram Administration of the city of Pavlodar is one of the strongest enterprises in its industry. The company’s collective agreement has been presented in the Paryz Business social Responsibility competition this year,” Aizhan Amrenova stressed.

During the meeting, a question was raised about amendments to the labor legislation on the exclusion from the duties of the commission to investigate an accident related to production and determine the degree of fault of the employee and employer.

In turn, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament Ekaterina Smyshlyaeva noted the relevance of such meetings. She spoke about the joint work with the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan to improve the legal framework in the labor sphere.
