The party “Nur Otan” and the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation

Today in the JSC “Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant” in Pavlodar signed a Memorandum on mutual cooperation between the party “Nur Otan” and the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On behalf of the parties the Memorandum was signed by First Deputy Chairman of the «Nur Otan» Party Maulen Ashimbayev and Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Abdirayim.

The Memorandum was concluded based on support of the state course of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to modernize and implement large-scale institutional reforms aimed at building a social state in which the highest value is a person.

The parties agreed on the organization of party and public control to protect the labor and socio-economic rights and interests of the people of Kazakhstan, ensure employment of the population and protect the domestic labor market. Together with state authorities, the parties plan to participate in the development and improvement of the system of prevention and resolution of labor conflicts and social emergencies, attract qualified experts and experienced specialists in resolving labor conflicts.

The party “Nur Otan” and the FPRK agreed to work out proposals for increasing the role of primary party and trade union organizations in labor collectives.

It will be promising to work together to formulate tasks for the state authorities in order to effectively and effectively solve pressing issues of the population, especially the socially vulnerable segments of the population.

The parties agreed to jointly participate in the development of recommendations and proposals to improve the current legislation and submit them to the relevant state authorities, as well as participate in the consideration of draft normative legal acts.

The Memorandum provides for the mutual exchange of information (including analytical and reference materials) and the formation of progressive partnership mechanisms in the format “state – political parties – trade unions”.

The parties expressed readiness to conduct research, consulting and expert projects within the framework of the implementation of the Memorandum. In addition, the parties will support the constructive initiatives of public associations and organizations as well as other civil society institutions aimed at protecting the labor rights of citizens, ensuring employment of the population, protecting the domestic labor market.

In order to strengthen cooperation the Party and the Federation plan to establish mutually beneficial and systemic relations with domestic, foreign and international organizations.

FPRK will intensify the work on the establishment of the Biot Production Boards at enterprises that are a new public control tool introduced by the Labor Code from 2016.

It is worth noting that 100% of the staff of the “Kazakhstan Electrolysis Plant”, in whose territory the Memorandum was signed, are members of the trade union – more than 2.5 thousand people.
