Congress of the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ) is held in Warsaw

On May 24-25, the 9th Congress of the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ) is held in Warsaw. President OPZZ Jan Goose, General secretary of the INC Luke Visentini, head of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Poland  Knut Deflefsena took part in the Congress.

The Forum participants discussed the program of action of the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions on 2018-2022 and held a discussion panel «The Future of work».

President of FTU of the RK Bakhytzhan Abdіrayim and chairman of the trade union center of the North-Kazakhstan region Eric Nurakaev took part in the Congress on behalf of Kazakhstan.

According to www.opzz.org.pl, OPZZ was established in 1984 and in Poland, it is independent of any political party.

OPZZ is represented at the local level in all 16 regions as well as in most areas. OPZZ defines its policy independently and democratically through its Congress, Council and Presidium.

Congress defines the general policy of OPZZ. It is held every four years and is attended by delegates from all OPZZ trade unions. It elects President of OPZZ and the President of the service. The last congress was held in Warsaw in May 2014.
