Аs part of the implementation of the «Safe Work» Program of the Akimat, the Trade Union Center of the capital and the Kazakhstan Association “DAMU” held an action: “Safe labor is the right of every person” in the territory of the Aruzhan shopping mall.
As part of the action, visitors and employees of the shopping center worked to explain the norms and regulations of labor laws was carried out by the deputy chairman and lawyer of the Trade Union Center of the capital Tolegen Kunadilov and Azamat Menseitov, deputy chairman of the city branch of the branch of the cultural, sports and information workers’ union Kairat Sultanalin and the first deputy of Nur Otan branch Markhat Kassymov.
Speakers of the action explained to people that up to 30% of modern office workers suffer because of poor health. Employers suffer no less, because employees’ illnesses cause them direct losses. The Kazakhstan Sports and Health Workers Society’s “Healthy Nation is a Competitive Country” program is designed to reduce losses and increase the return on staff. Practice shows that well-organized health management reduces morbidity in the team by 40-50%, reduces the period of incapacity by 20%, increases the detection of chronic diseases by 10-15% and as a result reduces the average period 30% of the total incapacity.
The security of work is subject to special control at all levels of social partnership and will continue on a systemic basis.
At the same time, leaflets of free consultation on BIOT issues, methodical recommendations on health and safety issues were distributed and the concept of “Vision zero” for the introduction and provision of zero injuries in the enterprise was presented.
