ACTION “1000 STEPS TO SAFE WORK”

On the eve of Labor Day and within the framework of the Safe Work Program, the Trade Union Center of Nur-Sultan, together with the Department for Social Development and the Kazakhstani «Damu» Association, carried out the action “1000 STEPS TO SAFE WORK”.

The protesters went to places where a large crowd of people explained to the passers-by the norms and provisions of labor legislation, told what to know in order to avoid infringement of the legitimate rights and interests of the employee, and how to assert their rights in case of violation by the employer.

Also, the organizers of the action promoted a safe work policy with almost all business entities and explained the provisions of the developed program “Safe Work”.

Among the passers-by there were also subjects of micro and small business, who noted that they often lack such consulting assistance, with whom they could calmly discuss their questions and receive high-quality information from competent specialists. Employees of the Trade Union Center and the city branch of the «Ынтымақ» branch of the small and medium-sized business sector held a conversation with them on the development of social partnership and collective-contractual regulation of social and labor relations.

At the same time, leaflets of free consultation on OSH issues, methodological recommendations on safety and labor protection issues were distributed and the concept of “Vision zero” was introduced for implementation and ensuring zero injuries at the enterprise.
