09/19/2019 in the TOP “Trade Union Center of the City of Almaty” a meeting was held with primary trade union organizations on issues of labor law, labor disputes and the resolution of problematic issues of the trade union movement.
TOP employees spoke about the work of the Trade Center of the city of Almaty on improving legal literacy of the population, which is carried out on a regular basis in the form of seminars, questionnaires, legal consultations, the functioning of the Center for Reconciliation, activating social partnerships, holding large regional and international forums, exchanging experience with international trade union organizations and territorial associations of trade unions of other regions of Kazakhstan.
Speaker Tugel Anuar Kurmanbaiuly – representative of the TOP “Trade Union Center of the City of Almaty”, President of the Union of Lawyers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of the Public Council of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in his presentation highlighted the main problems of labor relations in organizations, as well as in the work of conciliation commissions.
Tugel dwelt in detail on issues of labor law, pointed out the common mistakes of employers in concluding labor contracts, and armed the trade union leaders with knowledge to protect union members.
The meeting participants – members of the coordination council, chairmen of branches of branch trade unions and local trade unions, chairmen of primary trade union organizations had the opportunity to ask questions on all topics of interest regarding workers’ rights.
The meeting was held in an informal, friendly atmosphere, the speaker established feedback with the audience.
Trade union affiliates expressed confidence that cooperation with legal professionals such as A. Tugel would benefit the entire trade union movement in Almaty. In the future, A. Tugel will hold similar meetings in all branches of industry and local trade unio.
