During the visit of the President of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum on mutual cooperation between the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the Turkestan region took place.
Within the framework of the document of the chairman of the FPRK, Yeraly Tugzhanov and the akim of Turkestan region, Umirzak Shukeyev expressed his mutual intention to develop the level of social and labor rights of workers.
During the meetings, Umirzak Shukeyev recognized the important role of trade unions in improving the welfare of workers in the labor market.
FPRK Chairman Eraly Tugzhanov defended the principle of social protection of workers’ rights and interests of workers.
This cooperation involves the joint use and implementation of new approaches and optimal options for improving the well-being of residents of the region.
For reference: 1 656 trade union organizations operate in the region, which include 132 592 trade union members, trade union membership accounts for only 24% of the 6 939 operating enterprises with 239 600 wage earners.
