TRADE UNIONS HELPED TO INCREASE WAGES FOR OIL COMPANY EMPLOYEES

From the very first days, the Federation of Trade Unions, together with social partners, took an active part in resolving the dispute between workers and the management of Vostok Oil and CO LLP, which arose in September this year in the Aktobe region.

The collective demands of the oil company’s employees against the employer concerned a 50% increase in wages, otherwise the company’s employees expressed their intention to stop drilling at the fields.

In order to quickly resolve the conflict situation, the First Deputy Chairman of the FPRK Satybaldy Dauletalin met with the General Director of the company Zhang Baojun in the Aktobe region, where it was noted that the unions together with the workers will seek to implement their requirements within the framework of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As a result of repeated negotiations with the employer, the Federation of Trade Unions managed to solve the problem of improving working conditions and raising wages by 50% for more than 1000 employees of Vostok Neft and SO LLP.

It should be noted that the employer categorically did not accept the requirements of the workers.

Currently, the situation has stabilized, all employees have taken up their duties.

The Federation of Trade Unions will continue monitoring the situation regarding the observance of workers’ rights in the oil company.

Vostok Oil and CO LLP provides service work. The main activity of the company is the drilling of oil and gas wells.
