The new Kazugleprof miners union was created on the basis of the Korgau coal miners union, which was formed in 2001.
Chairman of Kazugleprof Marat Mirgayazov noted that earlier the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan has repeatedly defended the rights of miners.
“We never felt separated from the Federation of Trade Unions. Thanks to FPRK, many problems of miners were solved, ”M. Mirgayazov noted.

“Kazakhstan miners work in the most dangerous and difficult working conditions and therefore, like no one else, they need reliable protection of their rights. According to members of the coal miners’ union, the entry of Kazugleprof into the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan will make it possible to combine efforts, effectively defend the interests of workers in the mining and metallurgical industry and conduct a dialogue at a high level of social partnership.
