Despite the coronavirus epidemic, public life in Ust-Kamenogorsk has not stopped. So yesterday in the city held a meeting of the regional tripartite commission on social partnership and regulation of social and labour relations. Participants in the event addressed several important issues, among them the employment of the population during the crisis period, the payment of salary arrears to the employees of enterprises in the region. The meeting also discussed occupational safety for the population and hygiene in the organizations of the region. The participants also discussed ensuring labor safety for the population and compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards in the organizations of the region. The meeting of social partners, which was held online, was attended by representatives Of the offices of the akimat of East Kazakhstan region, the Department of quality control and safety of goods and services of the region, employees of the state enterprise “Semeyvodokanal”, LLP” Vostok boilers”, LLP” Kazelektromontazh S”, and LLP”Kazzinc”.

— Such meetings are necessary, especially in the current difficult period, when workers at many enterprises in the region were under attack. The protection of their rights, strict adherence to the labor code and protection of the safety and health of employees of each organization in the region should become a priority for both employers and the authorities, and such meetings help to identify the most problematic points in the field of labor relations, — said Temirbek Kasymzhanov, Chairman of the Top Trade Union Center of East Kazakhstan region.

At the end of the meeting, the commission made several important decisions. They were entrusted to the regional directorates, akims and heads of enterprises. The main tasks were the creation of temporary jobs within the framework of the Employment Road Map, the inclusion of workers’ employment contracts in the Electronic Labour Exchange, the monitoring of wage debts in various enterprises of the State Labour Organization and the strengthening of measures for their repayment. It has also been decided to step up action on safety and health at work and to raise awareness of the amendments to the Labour Code.
