Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions Nurlan Uteshev met with members of the primary trade union organization of the State Revenue Department of the Al-Farabi district of Shymkent.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Branch Trade Union of employees of state, banking institutions and public services Mirbolat Zhakypov, Chairman of the Trade Union Center of Shymkent Baurzhan Alteev, chairman of the branch Trade Union of employees of state, banking institutions and public services ”Kyzmet” Shymkent Serik Aueskhanov, Head of Department Bagdaulet Ashenov, chairman of the primary trade union organization Raushan Asembekova and employees of the organization.
The head of the State Revenue Department of the Al-Farabi district of the Department of State Revenue of Shymkent, Bagdaulet Ashenov, focused on the issues of the current activities of the department.
According to him, for 9 months of this year, the department has fulfilled the state budget plan by 107%.
According to the chairman of the primary trade union organization Raushan Asembekova, the primary trade union organization in the Department was established on November 25, 2019. The number of trade union members is 57 people. Thus, the organization has 100% coverage of trade union membership.
The organization is a part of the branch of the Branch Trade Union of employees of state, banking institutions and public services “Kyzmet” Shymkent.
Social and labor relations between the employer and employees in the Management are built on the basis of a Collective agreement for 2021-2023.
According to the collective agreement, 70% of the membership fees remain in the primary trade union organization.
“Due to trade union contributions, 24 employees received financial assistance in the amount of 220 thousand tenge for family reasons. Financial support was provided to 6 employees for a total amount of 660 thousand tenge. In addition, the trade union provides assistance to low-income, large families, as well as families with dependent persons with disabilities,” said the chairman of the primary trade union organization.
At the meeting, it was noted that the Management team is an active participant in public work and sports events of the city.
Charman of the branch of the Branch Trade Union of employees of state, banking institutions and public services “Kyzmet” Shymkent Serik Aueskhanov noted that the campaign “How do you live, primary?” increases workers’ confidence in trade unions, and suggested continuing the campaign next year.
According to him, the primary trade union organization of the State Revenue Department of the Al-Farabi district of Shymkent is the winner of the republican contest “The best primary trade union Organization” announced by the Branch Trade Union.
According to the head of the branch, since the beginning of the year, 18 new primary trade union organizations with a total of 693 trade union members have been created in the city.
In turn, the chairman of the Branch Trade Union of Employees of state, Banking institutions and Public Services Mirbolat Zhakypov thanked the chairman of the primary trade union organization and the chairman of the branch for their fruitful work and contribution to the development of social partnership.
“Yesterday we held a meeting of the executive committee and got acquainted with the work of our branches in three regions. Among them, the work of the Shymkent branch was recognized as the best, and we decided to share our experience with other regions of the country. In some industry unions, the number of members is decreasing, while in ours it is increasing. Now we have more than 92,200 members. In 3 years, the number of union members has increased by 15 thousand. This year we held a contest “The best primary trade union organization”, with the winner of which we are meeting today. Our task is to monitor the needs of primary organizations. In his Message, the President of the country instructed the Government to increase the minimum wage to 60 thousand tenge, to increase the salaries of civil servants financed from the budget by an average of 2% annually. This means that the country’s leadership has accepted the proposals of the Branch Trade Union and the Federation of Trade Unions, which have been submitted for several years. We will continue to work in this direction,” Mirbolat Zhakypov said.
Summing up the meeting, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions Nurlan Uteshev noted the important role of civil servants in the country and thanked the staff for decent work.
He stressed that the trade union action “How do you live, primary?” it will continue its work in a new format.
“Currently, each Branch trade union has held a competition “The best primary trade union organization”. Thanks to this competition, we were able to identify the best practices of trade union organizations. In the future, we will have to organize the dissemination of positive experience to other primary organizations. Therefore, we are considering a new format of meetings in which each of the best primary students could present their work,” Nurlan Uteshev said.
In conclusion, the Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions informed the participants about the significant events of the FTURK in the field of international cooperation. In particular, he reported on the visit of the delegates of the FTURK headed by the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions to the ILO and the ITUC.
“Last week, a delegation headed by Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Kudratulla Rafikov paid their first official visit to the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” Nurlan Uteshev added.
At the same time, he also said that next week a Memorandum on the establishment of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asia will be signed in Tashkent.
