The trade union project “People’s Budget”, aimed at identifying the initiatives of trade union members who will be supported by the FTURK, will be implemented again this year.
Members of trade unions, primary trade union organizations, initiative groups, youth councils, commissions for working women are allowed to participate in the People’s Budget project.
The implementation of the project will contribute to improving the efficiency of the use of trade union funds by involving trade union members in the decision-making process, as well as improving interaction with primary trade union organizations.
The selection of promising projects will be carried out in such priority areas as raising the prestige of working professions, developing interest in working professions, protecting the social and labor rights of employees at the enterprise, organization level, strengthening and developing social partnership, ensuring safe working conditions and decent wages, increasing the attractiveness, authority and image of the trade union movement and other topics within the framework of the Strategy of the Federation of Trade Unions.
At the same time, the main requirements for projects are social and social significance, relevance, innovative approaches, prospects for further development of the trade union project.
The selection and monitoring of the implementation of the People’s Budget project will be carried out by an Expert Commission formed from among the representatives of member organizations. It should be noted that in 2022, given the great interest in the project, the Federation decided to increase the budget for the implementation of the project to three million tenge.
Recall that last year, within the framework of the “People’s Budget” project, 31 applications were received from primary trade union organizations. The winner of the project was recognized as the primary trade union organization of KSU “Secondary school No. 3 of the city of Atbasar of the Department of Education for the Atbasar district of the Department of Education of the Akmola region with the project “Fitness Trade Union”.
The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan allocated funds in the amount of one million tenge for the implementation of this project.
