THE FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN WILL PAY FOR THE EDUCATION OF A STUDENT FROM A LARGE FAMILY

During the meeting with the teaching staff and students of the Higher Construction and Economic College of the city of Petropavlovsk, a third-year student Nursultan Omarov addressed the Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin. The student said that he is from a large and incomplete family.

“There are four children in our family. The family is incomplete and the mother has to work hard alone and raise children. On September 1, I continued my studies in the third year in the specialty “jurisprudence”. I study on a commercial basis, so the scholarship is not provided. But it is important for me to get a specialty and get a job as soon as possible to help my mother. What kind of social support could I count on?”, – asked 19-year-old Nursultan Omarov.

The director of the Higher College of Construction and Economics, Agibai Kushumbayev, confirmed that students studying on a fee-based basis do not receive a scholarship.

Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin responded to the request of the student and said that the FTURK is ready to provide assistance to Nursultan Omarov.

“Nursultan, your desire to become a pillar of your family after receiving a professional education and starting to work is commendable. The Federation of Trade Unions and the Republican Branch Trade Union of Education and Science Workers have decided to pay for your further education and set you a monthly scholarship in the amount of 45 thousand tenge,” Satybaldy Dauletalin said.

Addressing the Kazakh youth in the person of Nursultan Omarov, the Chairman of the FTURK noted that great hopes are pinned on the younger generation of Kazakhstanis, the future development of the country depends on them.

“In his Message to the people, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that comprehensive support for youth is one of the absolute priorities of our society. It is important that young people strive to comprehend all the subtleties of one particular profession, since the work of professionals is always highly valued. Our younger generation should be competitive not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad. The most important thing is for young people to realize that the implementation of the idea of building a Fair Kazakhstan is impossible without the participation of young citizens,” Satybaldy Dauletalin said.

According to the director of the educational institution, the contingent of students in the current academic year is 1,356 people. 1,060 students study on a budget basis, 294 under the Enbek program, 551 people are covered by dual training. Personnel training is carried out in 25 specialties. In 2020, the college acquired high-tech equipment for the educational complex in the amount of 319 million tenge within the framework of the Zhas Maman project.

The Chairman of the FTURK got acquainted with the equipment of the educational and industrial complex of the institution and focused on the implementation of the dual education program.

“One of the important tools for increasing the attractiveness and competitiveness of graduates of technical and vocational education organizations that meet the requirements of the labor market is dual training. During the period of industrial training and professional practice within the framework of dual training, a student acquires skills and professional competencies that meet modern production requirements. The placement of the state order is targeted in accordance with the needs of the labor market of the region, therefore, there are no problems with the subsequent employment of graduates,” said Satybaldy Dauletalin.

Colleges, together with employers, independently determine the content of educational programs, are focused on professional standards, terms of study. The company participates in the development of working curricula and training programs for the organization of technical and vocational education (VET). Working in close contact with a future employer, the educational institution already takes into account the production requirements that the company imposes on its potential personnel during training. To date, dual training has been implemented in 536 Kazakh colleges with coverage of 68,985 people, including 60,483 people under the state order. In 2021, out of 17,920 people who studied under the dual training system, 11,806 people were employed.
