THE FEDERATION OF TRADE UNIONS HAS COMPLETED THE COURSE OF THE EDUCATIONAL MARATHON “COLLECTIVE LABOR DISPUTES. CONCILIATION PROCEDURES”

The final seminar in the framework of the educational marathon “Collective labor disputes. Conciliation procedures” was held with the participation of trade union activists of Akmola, North Kazakhstan regions and Astana.

Project coordinator, Deputy Director of the Department of Organizational and Control Work of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Eszhanova, opening the seminar, noted the relevance of the topic in the light of the resolution of individual and collective labor disputes in a constructive manner.

According to her, improving the legal culture of trade union workers is one of the main priorities of the Federation of Trade Unions, outlined in the Strategy of the FTURK for 2020-2025.

Lyazzat Eszhanova noted the importance of preventive trade union work to identify the causes, analyze the occurrence and prevention of labor disputes, and in case of their occurrence – qualified resolution of labor conflicts.

At the same time, the issues of regulation of social and labor relations in the resolution of labor disputes, the deadlines for filing and considering applications to the conciliation commission, the stages of work of the conciliation commission and labor arbitration, as well as the consideration of labor disputes in court were considered in detail.

The seminar participants considered that the institute of mediation can be used in resolving collective labor disputes, experts who are not affiliated with the parties to the labor dispute can be involved with their written permission.

“The grounds for holding strikes may be: If a collective labor dispute could not be resolved through conciliation procedures; if the employer evades conciliation procedures; if the conditions of previously reached agreements on a collective labor dispute are not fulfilled,” the lecturer noted.

During the seminar, a consistent algorithm for resolving individual and collective labor disputes was obtained, based on the provisions of the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a detailed presentation was presented for use by participants in trade union work.

At the end of the interested dialogue, Lyazzat Eszhanova answered the questions of the participants of the seminar on the legal regulation of labor relations, the regulation of individual labor disputes and the conduct of conciliation procedures.

Representatives of trade unions of two regions and the capital, who took part in the seminar, thanked the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan for organizing an educational marathon, the project coordinator for the highly professional conduct of training seminars and the relevance of the topic.

Recall the educational marathon of the Federation of Trade Unions “Collective labor disputes. Conciliation procedures” started on November 7 this year. More than 700 representatives of trade unions and territorial associations of all regions of the country took part in it.
