On March 9, 2023, with the participation of the chairmen of branches of sectoral and local trade union public associations, a discussion was held on the new collection “Trade unions to protect the rights of working women” published by the Territorial Association of Trade Unions of Pavlodar region.
Chairman of the Territorial Association of Trade Unions of Pavlodar region Aitzhanova D.N. spoke about the contents of the collection. The first part of the collection is devoted to summarizing the experience of the Commission for Working Women Affairs of the Territorial Association of the Trade Union of Pavlodar region on protecting the rights of working women, creating favorable working conditions for women at enterprises in the Pavlodar region, ensuring their rights and freedoms.
The second part of the collection is devoted to the analysis of collective agreements of enterprises of the Pavlodar region on the protection of the rights of working women: the provision of additional paid holidays; benefits and guarantees for women raising children with disabilities, support for women on unpaid leave to care for a child; providing material support to women with family responsibilities by September 1 and Children’s Day; financial support for large families.
“Studying the content of the collection will enrich the experience of trade union work in various sectors of the economy, which, as a result, will contribute to the qualitative renewal of collective agreements with clauses in support of the protection of the rights of working women,” the participants of the meeting stated.
