SATYBALDY DAULETALIN: “THE goal of CENTRAL ASIAN TRADE UNIONS is FAIR LABOR RELATIONS FOR ALL”

Secretary General of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian Countries – Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin is on a working visit to Tashkent.
In the capital of Uzbekistan, the Head of the SPECA held a number of meetings. With his colleague, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Kudratilla Rafikov, Secretary General of the SPCA Satybaldy Dauletalin discussed the upcoming agenda of the Council meeting, as well as a joint action plan of National Trade Union Centers – members of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asia.
Satybaldy Dauletalin noted that the urgent task facing the members of the Council remains the promotion of the interests of workers in the Central Asian states.
“The geopolitical and economic situation in the world certainly affects social and labor relations and the labor market as a whole. Our countries are facing challenges, on overcoming which depends the welfare of all workers and the fate of civilized labor relations. Therefore, an important task facing the national trade union centers of the Central Asian countries is the comprehensive protection of human rights and the effective expression of their interests through a New Social Contract adopted at the V Congress of the International Trade Union Confederation. Within the framework of our Council, an action plan has been developed that will allow us to make joint decisions quickly. The goal of Central Asian trade unions is fair labor relations for all workers in the region,” said Satybaldy Dauletalin.
In turn, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Kudratilla Rafikov stressed the commitment of the trade union movement of his country to the implementation of common approaches in the development of closer relations with social partners to promote international labor standards.
“Our joint activities within the framework of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian Countries will strengthen solidarity in striving for decent work standards and social justice, solving labor migration issues, common problems of ensuring safety and labor protection,” Kudratilla Rafikov said.
During the meeting, the head of the SPCA Staff Baurzhan Akhmetulin presented a draft of the official website of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian Countries, which was agreed upon after a joint discussion.
During the working visit, the Secretary General of the SPCA – Chairman of the FPRC Satybaldy Dauletalin got acquainted with the activities of the Palace of Trade Unions in Tashkent, which opened its doors after reconstruction.
The head of the SPECA also visited the trade union health resorts of Uzbekistan – Zarkent and Chimgan sanatoriums, where Uzbek colleagues presented opportunities for improving the health of trade union members of the Central Asian region. The latest medical equipment manufactured in Uzbekistan is installed here.
It should be noted that currently, within the framework of the SPECA, a unified Map of Trade union health and Tourism is being developed to provide health and wellness services to trade union members in trade union sanatoriums of the Council member countries.
On November 10, 2021, in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin, Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Kudratilla Rafikov and Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan Maliksho Nematzoda signed a Protocol on the establishment of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asia (SPECA).
On September 21-23 last year, at the II meeting of the members of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian countries – the leaders of the national trade union centers of the participating countries in Tashkent, it was decided to include new members in the organization – the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan and the Confederation of Trade Unions of Mongolia, according to their previously sent applications. By a unanimous decision of the members of the Council, the Kazakh professional leader – Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Satybaldy Dauletalin was elected Secretary General of the organization.
In May of this year, a subregional forum of SPECA members will be held in Kazakhstan with the participation of representatives of the International Labor Organization and the International Trade Union Confederation.
