On April 20, as part of the campaign “How do you live, primary?”, Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulnara Zhumageldiyeva met with the staff of the Regional Ambulance Station.
During the online meeting, the chairman of the primary trade union organization “Regional Ambulance Station” Mayra Kurmasheva acquainted the participants of the meeting with the work of the trade union committee to protect the interests of the labor collective.
The primary trade union organization conducts its work on the basis of a collective agreement and pays great attention to the health and well-being of the members of the collective. For health improvement, vouchers are issued annually to sanatoriums, in 2022 11 members of the trade union were able to relax and improve their health in the sanatoriums “Akzhayyk”, “Saryagash”, “Koktem”.
To practice sports in their free time, 63 employees were issued fitness certificates and a gym was rented for training. Also, a tennis table was purchased for proper and useful leisure.
2022 was declared the Year of Children. Financial assistance was provided to 10 employees raising children with special needs (30,000 tons each).
On the day of the retirement age, the trade union committee organizes a congratulation of the employee, with a brief overview of the work biography and wishes from the administration and the trade union committee (30 MCI under the collective agreement).
The Trade Union Committee provides financial assistance to employees in connection with a difficult financial situation, upon submission of an application to the trade union committee and after its consideration. Financial assistance is provided for the loss of a loved one.
The Trade Union Committee actively promotes events in honor of the celebration of public holidays: “Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, “New Year”, “Nauryz”, “International Women’s Day”, “Defender of the Fatherland Day”, as well as professional holidays for the day of the Medical Worker.
Makhambet Kusainov, Chairman of the WCOF of the NGO “Sectoral Professional Union of Health Care Workers “SENIM”, noted that this trade union organization is one of the best in the region and is actively working to improve the quality of life of its employees. The speaker also spoke about the regional seminar that was held within the framework of the Year of Safe Work, where the chairmen of the PPO from 4 regions took part.
Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulnara Zhumageldiyeva, summing up the meeting, thanked for the information provided and noted that one of the main priorities of the Federation of Trade Unions is decent wages and protection of workers’ labor rights. In this regard, Legal clinics are functioning in all territorial associations to provide free legal assistance to employees. The Deputy Chairman of the FPRC reported on the initiatives of the Federation on increasing the size of the minimum wage and the legislative consolidation of the annual indexation of wages.
According to her, special attention is paid to the development of international cooperation – important achievements in this area have been the restoration of membership in the International Trade Union Confederation and the creation of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian Countries, which this year is chaired by the Kazakh side.
The chairman of the Trade Union Center of the West Kazakhstan region, Aigul Esekenova, in her speech about the key areas of activity, also recalled the support of trade union organizations in solving issues related to surcharges and housing problems. Aigul Esekenova noted that the Trade Union Center of the West Kazakhstan region, together with the branch trade union, will continue to work on improving the working conditions of employees in this industry.
