REPRESENTATIVES OF TRADE UNIONS OF MONGOLIA GOT ACQUAINTED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF THE FPRK

On the eve of the III meeting of the Council of Trade Unions of Central Asian Countries, representatives of the Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan met with colleagues from the Confederation of Trade Unions of Mongolia Sharav Sarantuya and Byambaa Dairiyasuren, who arrived in Astana to participate in the upcoming Subregional Forum.

From the trade unions of Kazakhstan, foreign guests were greeted by Deputy Director of DOKR FPRK Lyazzat Yeszhanova, who informed about the history, structure and main activities of the Federation of Trade Unions.
Separately, she focused on the work of the Training Center, spoke about the ongoing educational projects with the participation of the trade union of all industries and regions of the country.
Lyazzat Yeszhanova noted that advanced training of trade union personnel is one of the priorities in the activities of the FPRK, enshrined in the Strategy for the Activities of the Federation of Trade Unions for 2020-2025.
The participants of the meeting were also informed about the work of the Legal Clinic, measures to develop social partnership in Kazakhstan, the participation of trade unions in legislative activities, as well as got acquainted with the experience of the Commission on Women Workers in promoting gender equality and the experience of the Keleshek Youth Council in promoting the rights of working youth.

Representatives of the Mongolian delegation, in turn, shared their achievements, including the development of trade union education.
The Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions has the Institute of Labor and Social Relations, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. Its graduates are many active profilders of Mongolia.

The Confederation is also actively working in the field of protecting workers’ rights, paying special attention to supporting women and youth.
The total number of members of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Mongolia is 400,000 people.
During the conversation, the participants expressed mutual interest in cooperation and exchange of experience in topical areas of trade union work.
